Monochrome Group

This group aims to support and encourage the production of monochrome images through traditional darkroom and digital techniques. Meetings vary from having a guest speaker showing their work, discussing a given topic or simply showing our individual work and getting feedback from other group members – or a mixture of all three!

The meetings are informal and the discussion of images, sharing knowledge, learning and improving technical and creative skills are what make the meetings successful. Members of all standards are most welcome – from beginners upwards.

We meet monthly, starting at at 8pm, usually in the Small Barn Hall, Amersham Community Centre. See the calendar for the dates of the Mono Group meetings.

To cover the cost of the room, we ask for £5 for the year from members who expect to attend more than a couple of times.

“As Clear as Black & White” Exhibition

For three weeks in May 2012, twenty monochrome photographers from APS exhibited at The Mezzanine Gallery, High Wycombe Library (Publicity poster).

Comments and reactions from both our members and the public were plentiful and excellent  –  many visitors found the exhibits quite inspirational. View a copy of the visitors book entries.
