February 2010 - Winners NW Federation Print & DPI Finals

Amersham won the 50th NW Fed against Pinner with some excellent individual scores (our lowest mark was 17 for any of our 18 images). Three trophies were awarded at the competition and, in addition to the club victory, Janet Osborne-Williams won the individual award for best projected image in the entire competition for Bulldozer; and Gill Morgan won the same award for best print with Elephant Seal Pups Play Fighting.
This is our most important local competition with a strong history, and we are proud to take part in it. The competition started in 1961, and the first time Amersham was successful was as recently as 1989 (though we have enjoyed considerable success in the last fifteen years).
Congratulations to all of the authors who’s images were used in the competition (Patrick Hudgell, Andy Harding, Gill Morgan, Yin Wong, David Wessely, Paul Keane, Tony Bamford, David Pearson, Tim Abell, Ted Kinsey, Patrick Hudgell, Andy Harding, Steve Brabner, Malcolm Cartledge, Mary Attfield, Janet, and Peter Spring contributed our 32 DPI and Print images), and particular individual congratulations to Gill and Janet.
